Rey Mysterio situation

    As you know, there have been several reports of Rey Mysterio wanting to quit WWE for some time now. I want to know what you really think, whether he should retire or stay with WWE.

    I personally think he should just leave already. He doesn't seem to be happy about some things from reports that I've read (e.g. paranoid about his pay), not to mention I'm getting tired of hearing about how wrestlers keep getting hurt by his knee brace. CM punk got a big gash in his head at Breaking Point and now the Undertaker has a broken orbital bone and might miss the fatal 4-Way ppv. Now I know this might not all be Mysterio's fault (WWE is trying to get him to stick around as long as possible) but If I was WWE management and saw that he was really unhappy and was constantly putting other wrestlers at risk with that stupid knee brace of his, I would just let him go.

    enough time has passed so no longer a spoiler.

    Rey while he can put on MOTY candidates on, shouldn't be the champion and he has used this to weaseled his way into another title run.

    the only reason he's here now is because of the title, he was ment to have time off. but after injurying Taker he they needed him to stay, refused so give him the title to sweeten the deal. I'm sorry but if you injury someone you make an effort to cover for that person, dont use it to your own advantage.

    I Love Rey, but he hasn't been happy in a while, unless its with the smaller guys like Jericho, Ziggler etc his matches have been ok. Let him go Mexico on a talent trade, let him be there god for a few months. just dont fire him coz TNA will tap him up.

    That would be foolish as Mysterio = $$$$$$ for WWE.

    I read enough reports/rumours/whatever that say Mysterio is happy one week and unhappy the next that I don't hold much water in them.

    I was unhappy they took the strap off Swagger as I felt he continued to impress every week in terms of in-ring, promos or getting heat.

    I admit to being shocked Mysterio won the belt, mainly as he won't gain any more over-ness from holding it. Plus his other reign was abysmal but you would hope he'll be booking stronger this time.

    I'm willing to give it a chance as Mysterio almost deserves the title on merit at least, as this past year has been stellar from him.

    hense a short term trade, they get 1st pick of their talent for 4-6 months of rey. which helps both partys.

    If they wanted rey to have the title, they should have last year. Swagger needed the rub here, let him pin rey and let them feud and build it up.
    Punk's out the title picture as WWE wants him face again working with Kane????
    Show i haven't a clue what they plan with him now, since face v face wouldn't work here?
    Ziggler & McIntrye are the only other heels i can think of??

    WWE have little to gain from tapping into the CMLL or AAA market, and it would be silly to intentionally send one of their hottest, most popular and marketable stars away for a few months.

    Plus, WWE's hands would be tied regarding whoever they got from the aforementioned promotions, as if they couldn't push him over their own guys as he is only short-term and would be leaving, and if they job him out they would be gaining nothing.

    And I've heard nothing about a Punk babyface turn, which would be just dumb. Him and Mysterio still have some unfinished business regarding the masks I think, I imagine Punk will be getting a title opportunity before long.
