Picked up the Savage DVD today. A $33 dollar DVD for $18 is a good deal to me.

Can't wait to watch it, but gotta get through PWG Sells Out first.

PWG Sells Out is a great DVD that you should all go and buy, since it's the first national DVD from them that you don't have to buy online. It's nine hours of great wrestling (for the most part) for $17.99, so it's not like you're overpaying.

Disc one is mostly their bigger stars and people that went to other prmotions, like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, etc.

Disc two is more tag team and gimmick matches which are fantastic for the most part, except for Joey Ryan vs. B-Boy in a steel cage guerrilla warfare match.

Disc three is more about their international talent, such as PAC, CIMA, and Kaz Hayashi (yea, the WCW one). It also contains the classic line from Joey Ryan when addressing Human Tornado (who is black, in case you don't know): "Tonight, I'm going to own you like it's 1860!" I marked out for that.

    Check it out.

Ordered WrestleMania XVI (2000) and Chris Benoit: Hard Knocks today. Don't know when they'll be in, but as long as I'm getting them, I'll be happy.

Getting WM for the sole purpose of no blurring. I have all the WM's on their actual DVD release since X-Seven, so I need this and XV to have them all.

Getting Benoit because I heard it was good, and it's out of print, so I need to pick it up at the cheap price I'm getting it for.

The Benoit DVD is excellent. Bought it myself back when it came out.
Not a big wrestling dvd buyer, but seemed like a must have at the time.

The matches on Benoit's DVD are awesome. Highlights for me are the matches with Sasuke, Liger and the short match with Eddie from Nitro. Doesn't even go 10 minutes but it is better than most could do in 20. Also features the greatest powerbomb ever.

Well I canceled the original order and changed a few things around. I am now getting the following:

    - Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story
    - Brock Lesnar: Here Comes the Pain
    - SummerSlam 2002

And I'm getting the old Full Metal CD from 1996 as I lost it.

Man, that match between Brock and Rock at SS 02 is incredible, but what disappointed me the second time around was HHH/HBK, didn't enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it, but I was a mark back then too.

Oh yeah the main event and Angle/Rey were great. I actually already have the event as a part of the SummerSlam Anthology, but I had to have the Rock/Brock training videos. Those were some of the most well put together video packages WWE has ever done.

I've watched a little of each DVD and I'll give some quick thoughts.

    SummerSlam 2002
7 years later and those Rock/Brock training videos are still great. Lesnar has always been an animal and I forgot Rock could jump so high. Matches that I remember that were great still are, and I loved the Brock/Hogan match as an extra. I remember watching that "live" back when it happened and was stunned. At 11 years old, I never thought I'd see Hogan manhandled like he was. Gotta love Heyman too. "Brock! You're gonna kill him! Brock!"

Brock Lesnar: Here Comes the Pain
One of the most confusing documentaries I've seen. Some people stay in kayfabe (Mike Chioda mentions his amazement at Lesnar F5'ing Big Show with "broken ribs.") while others break it (this was released after Heyman turned on him, and the whole DVD, he is praising Brock). I also love Kurt's little comment about putting Brock in a ring or an octagon or a cage and he'll dominate. Kurt can see the future. I had all the matches on other discs except for the Brock/Big Show match where the ring implodes. I still love watching that, especially how the crowd is going nuts forever.

Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story
Kind of uncomfortable to watch, especially when Nancy and Daniel were shown, but they did a great job on the documentary. Best talking I've ever seen from Benoit. I watched the match with Sasuke and wow. What a match. And I had to watch the cage match with Angle. It's a shame that you don't see stuff like that anymore. Great wrestling and some cool spots in a cage match. You either get mediocre wrestling and no spots, or crappy wrestling and too many spots, i.e. throws into every side of the cage 18585 times.

All in all, I'm glad I made this purchase. And for about $27, it was a helluva deal, especially since one is OOP and can go for a shitload of money.
