How do a get a picture icon

I was wondering how can I get a picture icon on the side under my screen name. I can't speak or read spanish so and all the stuff is like that on this site when it comes to getting the picture icon. Please help me.

Just kidding. save what you want as your avatar, go to Imageshack. us, host it, get the link it provides you, then go to "profile" and paste it under your signature.

Where do I start...

1) When you go to the profile page, there is an upload thingie there already and all you do is choose the file from your comp.

2) You put it under the place you try to put a banner, you want to put it in the avatar section.

3) If you want to put a banner, you need to use image tags.

4) Refrain from using imageshack here at WA...it gives u a frog.

Look in there, it's got some pretty simple instructions if your still lost. It's where I learnt how to do it.

Forgot about Imageshack, and i dont know why i said signature, i was thinkin of a banner

Oh and you have to put [IMG] at the beggining and [/IMG] at the end of the url. No spaces between the brackets or the url and the brackets. You go to File Manager next to something that looks like Avatar to upload.

I couldnt get the instructions for avatar, it never said that you had to press Modificia in the instructions. I believe this goes in the Help Forum or the General Q/A Forum.
